Hello, Team members! Well, then, as I proclaimed today—the global debate was a success. The best thing is that the team appeared to be actively engaged in the process which included thinking, listening and sustained speaking—in English—for almost two hours! In fact, if you will recall, even when the debate officially ended, several members continued to interact, which, in my view, was a good indication of your interest, ownership, and commitment to the task. The questions were presented clearly, and when there were misunderstandings regarding questions or comments, further clarifications were provided by team members in question. Amusingly, Dr. Zhu concluded that we had actually argued as romantics versus realists…In any event, both teams seemed to agree in the end that the element of love--however defined --be it with acts, cognition or emotion—was what holds a marriage together—whether by arrangement or by choice. Good team work!
We have only 4days in this session.Time passes away so quickly when we are happy.... I hope next session will be fine like this class and last class! Now, I have to write the last writing task. See you tomorrow, teacher!
Hello everyone~when I saw those pictures, they evoked my memories of my happy hours in class. I really miss u Sue,and my team members of course. You are so wonderful that I can never forget
Glad to hear from Jason! I hope we can all have a reunion someday somewhere on the planet--remember? Haena left this session and her note to me that she gave me, when she came by to say goodbye, brought tears to my eyes--"tears began to well up in my eyes." (Do you remember where that quote came from?). I also love the colorful Korean book mark she gave me--and will remember her, as I will all of you, always...Sue Ellen
