English as a Second Language (ESL) Podcasts

I showed this listening site to Laurence today. Try it out and tell me what you think. I had a student once who would listen to a 30 minute podcast a day to improve his listening skills--He claimed it helped him, especially with vocabulary and general understanding regarding a variety of topics. Remember, English is a direct language and, hence, listening comprehension--or meaning--depends on the degree of understanding the context in which and about which a person speaks. We will discuss other media ideas for listening next week. Have a great weekend--and I hope you remember the fun factor!
