With all due respect to Senator John McCain, I would like to place his eloquent, honorable and dignified concession speech on my blog as I did for Senator Barack Obama's acceptance speech. Perhaps you could learn something from both speeches in a way that might help you reach an understanding of the differences between the two presidential hopefuls. In any event, you might want to compare and contrast the two political speeches for an American government class or for our academic preparation class at Rice University. Please feel free to react and respond--and I will seaya tomorrow for another dose of The Daily English Class. You are an awesome class--and as I have told other students in the past, I have come to believe over the years that you are--diplomats in our own backyard...

well I think it is very important that the candidate that was not elected congratulate the candidate winner as McCain did with Obama, that shows respect between them and that they can help if someone need eny type of help
Well stated, agiase, and I think many others would agree with you around the world. Regardless of the country--win or lose--most people would argue that dignity and honor are what really count in the end...seaya
