Iceman died from head trauma, not arrow - Yahoo! News

New evidence about the mystery of how the iceman must have died--speculations are still forming, it appears, which once again supports the power of language construction and the need for linguistic exactitudes when attempting to claim facts...

"You say hello, I say goodbye"

...and as the tides come and go, so do my English students. The tide is out until another team comes in, and then it will stay in for awhile...I was thinking today about what Jimmy Smits says in the commercial for the new upcoming American television program, "Sugar is the new Oil." It reminds me of what I think about you: You are the New English. There is more to this story though I'll save it for another day. In the meantime, feel free to add anything you might want to say. Also, thank you so much for the precious poem, and the lovely orchid in the hand painted pot. I feel like we all became real at the end--who we really are...and You--well, You are simply awesome!

TARKAN yakalarsam (kiss kiss)

Bulent, this is for you!!! we'll miss you!!! you're excellent, man!! You look like the great grandson of Robert De Niro!!!

(Charles wrote this comment, but Sue Ellen dictated the part about Robert De Niro. Actually, according to a news article, Robert De Niro just turned 64, so perhaps it would be better to say that Bulent looks like he could possibly be De Niro's grandson or his nephew...Bulent even has some of his mannerisms....what do you guys think? Let's vote...)

Fiddler on the roof - If I were a rich man (with subtitles)

We are singing this for conditional practice--present/future hypothetical...you might want to practice on the blog...let me know what you think. There is a lot of rich history and culture embedded in this song, and in fact, throughout the musical/movie.
